To maximise the number of simultaneous phone calls you can make and extract the entire power of Asterisk, our voice prompts are provided in several sound file formats which automatically match the requirements of the set up.
We provide the complete set of recordings in alaw, ulaw, gsm and sln in addition to other formats such as mp3 on request. All of these formats may be installed at the same time and permit Asterisk to match the voice prompt format to the format of the call. This gets rid of the requirement for any live transcoding leaving the entire energy of the computer to handling calls.
